In anticipation of the beginning of the work of restoration of the Museum, we inform him about the provisional movement of the Museum for the above mentioned works from December 20, 2006.
The project of restoration is elaborated and it will be directed by the architect D. Màrius Bevià.
The offices, specializing library and shop will locate in the c/Teulería n º 18 in the housing and stores of the former pottery Mollá. In the same factory the Provisional Museum will be.
The activities of the Museum will continue his course as till now, but the visits will have to realize to him with previous appointment and with the same schedule that till now.
For what it concerns to the visits of school groups we have reserved for the year 2007, 39 groups that shape a whole of 2971 students.
These visits are going to be realized by the following characteristics:
The provisional Museum will establish itself to another factory of similar characteristics that those of the Museum it is a factory of beginning of 20th century where they are visitables the workshop with the wheels and the continuous original bank, the stores or caves where the pieces were remaining, the Moorish ovens where the pieces were cooked …) and in addition there will be able to be contemplated the rafts of preparation of the mud that is a zone that was not visitable in the Museum. Inside this factory they us have enabled a wide room to expose a selection of representative pieces of Agost's traditional pottery, where we will be able to explain by means of projection and panels, the process of production of Agost's traditional pottery, as well as the basic forms that were in use in the daily life. Thus the pedagogic attention remains insured that till now we come realizing in the current Museum. In addition we will put at the disposal of teachers and interested parties the didactic suitcases that till now there has elaborated the Museum (white ceramics, rossinyol d'Agost, general of pottery), as well as the game of the pottery, to which they will be able to play in this provisional museum.
In addition this factory is placed in the same street that the current Museum: C/Teulería 18 for what the location is practically the same one and the complement of the visit guided to the Museum with the visit to a pottery that continues producing today, will be practically equal.
Our labor with a view to the public does not finish here since the Museum receives many demands of information concerning the pottery and to the village in general, so much of tourist as professional type, for it we will move also the specializing library of the Museum and part of the shop, at least with the pieces of the collection of traditional pottery of the Museum.
With these conditions we want to attend to the services and commitments acquired with groups, students or of another type, professional, tourist collaborations and of advertising.
